Partner At Chrysalis
As a Partner at Chrysalis Ventures, Wright invests with entrepreneurs who use information and data to drive innovation for businesses. He focuses on data-driven innovation in healthcare and training. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of several companies, including Regent Education, GoNoodle, Lucina Health, and Edj Analytics. Wright has worked with the management teams of nineteen of Chrysalis Ventures’ investments, including current investments, AlayaCare, and meQuilibrium, which was white-boarded in Chrysalis Ventures’ office, and graduates including Digitalsmiths (sold to TiVo), Cybera (sold to Sumeru), iSqFt (sold to Genstar Capital) Advanced Academics (sold to DeVry), Genscape (sold to GFI), Appriss (sold to Bain Capital), MyHealthDirect (sold to Experian Health), StraighterLine (sold to BV) and Continuum (sold to T-Mobile).
Prior to joining Chrysalis Ventures in 2001, Wright gained valuable entrepreneurial management experience as a senior business development executive at a rapidly growing company preparing to go public, and as CFO of a start-up technology transfer company, where he set strategic plans and raised equity and debt capital.
Wright has a BA in Economics from Princeton University. Upon graduation, he served five years in the US Marine Corps where he attained the rank of Captain.
A Louisville native, Wright pursues his passion for education, training, and youth development as a longstanding volunteer and Director at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana. As President of the Board, Wright successfully led a combination with another youth services organization which doubled the number of youth served.
