StraighterLine Named One of Fast Company’s 10 Most Innovative Companies in Education

We knew that we were doing something pretty innovative when we introduced our Freshman Year of College for $999 plan.  But isn’t it great when somebody else notices too – and when that somebody is an important publication like Fast Company?

Well, that’s what happened on March 15, when Fast Company columnist Anya Kametz chose to include StraighterLine on her list of The 10 Most Innovative Companies in Education. She included StraighterLine, “For developing an online for-profit college where the first year costs $999.”

Other companies on the list include NYU (for launching a second campus in Abu Dhabi), The Khan Academy (for developing an online library of 1,800 videos for classroom use) and Irynsoft (for creating an app that lets students take online courses in iPhones).

We’re proud to be included in such distinguished company. And thanks, Ms. Kametz, for noticing.
