David Bartholomew Named CEO of HCCA International

December 10, 2009, Franklin, TN – David Bartholomew, the current president of HCCA International (HCCA), has been named CEO of the company that recruits internationally experienced registered nurses and physical therapists to U.S. hospitals. Ronald C. Marston will leave the company after a transitional period to pursue international opportunities in hospital management and will continue to work with HCCA as a consultant on international opportunities.

Bartholomew, who became president of HCCA in January 2009, plans to continue to expand domestic operations to complement the company’s well-established international presence. Recent domestic expansion strategies include investments in multiple new services such as Strategic Anesthesia Services (SAS), a provider of per diem certified registered nurse anesthesia services for physician offices, surgical centers and hospitals, and HCCA Clinical Research Solutions, a provider of specialized clinical trial contract staffing and outsourcing services to universities, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. HCCA will continue to explore a variety of other strategic services to complement its current business portfolio.

Bartholomew has more than 25 years of executive experience in the U.S. staffing industry. Prior to joining HCCA, he was the founder and CEO of Nashville-based Staffmark, an organization he grew from a one-office startup in 1991 to over 300 locations today, making it one of the largest staffing companies in the U.S. In addition, Bartholomew is well known in the staffing industry and has served as chairman of the American Staffing Association.
